oncedevil: (What's it to you?)
[personal profile] oncedevil

Name: Anthony (Tony) Sparado
Age: 18 as of November 16, 2014
Appearance: Just imagine brown hair then we've got it.
Occupation: Junk collector, street-side entertainment. Pickpocket on occasion.
Now he's a barrista and a bodyguard.

Full application: For when you're really bored.
HMD: Here!

Echoes Recieved:
1st Echo: Witnessed the death of his parents, echoed back the memory of a woman sacrificing herself to save him from monsters.

2nd Echo: Tier two gained from the Wise Snake, his white hair along with that annoying battle lust that overrides intelligent running away decisions most of the time. Demon blood, what can you do?

3rd Echo: Ghosts chatting on the network returned his passive ability to see and speak with ghosts and spirits. Limited to reincarnates for the time being.

4th Echo: Meeting a broadsword for the first time gave him a brief flash of Rebellion, and the recall of his affinity for that type of weapon.

5th Echo: A sparring match with the broadsword later triggered some recall of how to actually use the thing.

6th Echo: After watching the news broadcast by the trio of aliens, the broadsword has taken on the form of sleeping Rebellion.

7th Echo: A brief memory of his preincarnation facing off against a number of mafiosos, (DMC Anime Episode 5, for those curious) and a quick bit of dialogue including revealing the name of his preincarnation. The memory ends just before the first shots are fired.

8th Echo: Tier Two for... March I think? Plot Echo - PANIC BUTTON. Passive Devil Trigger, or pre-awakened Devil Trigger. While it cannot be accessed willfully, when in extreme emotional and physical duress (near-death) Anthony briefly takes on a shadowy devil form. This increases strength, speed, ferocity, and add some bonus emergency healing. It doesn't last long, and the healing effect is really only enough to curb immediate death.

Since Anthony currently isn't half devil enough to have passive healing and energy regeneration DT will be exceptionally draining. While it can save his life, it'll probably always leave him blacked out immediately after. Fun times?

9th Echo: Antoher memory while being picked up by the mafia. A woman's head on a platter yelling at him about making a terrible scone. Wow his past life sure didn't make a lot of sense.

10th Echo: More memories, such fun, very delight. Witnessing Moises' death by head smashing flashes back to an event while riding a train. A man is killed by having his head smashed in by a demon, Dante is the only one to witness the event and gets to play cocky detective by explaining what happened to the train's security. Suspicions were had.

11th Echo: EVEN MORE DELIGHTFUL MEMORIES. This time of his first panic!trigger that resulted in the attack (and strongly implied non-con ugh) of a girl-turned-demon that had tried to take an uninvited bite out of our past life hero.

12th Echo: While speaking with Anthony on the subject of possessions, and with it came a familiarity and understanding of the subject, though no direct memories to associate with it.

13th Echo: A better memory, sparked by a conversation with Shou. A memory of a similar talk Dante once had with a mysterious woman with a big gun and bad aim. He feels better now, knowing that the man wasn't just a wild killing machine. He has, however, discovered he's turning into a demon. Oops?

14th Echo: While fighting monsters in the Cathedral he echoed back the know-how on how to use his gun, and is now an eerily expert shot for a first timer.

15th Echo: A discussion with L brought back a bit of his other's personality. An understanding that it's impossible to save everyone, no matter how hard you try, and that trying to blame yourself for every failure will only weigh you down and make you less effective in the long run. (Practice what you preach, Dante).

16th Echo: A pink light over Germany witnessed on the news triggered a return of a characteristic monotone drawl and a truly annoying tendency to avoid giving straight answers. The most evasive troll to ever troll has awoken.

17th Echo: Rebellion's soul, making the weapon a bonafide Devil Arm rather than just a stylish hunk of metal. The blade now possesses a degree of awareness and 'life', if it could be called that. Tony will be able to summon it back to himself from short distances once he learns how, but for right now it's just intensely creepy and has created some kind of strange link he doesn't understand.

18th Echo: Working with Shou to catch some prey mafiosos has returned his other's hunting instincts. Normally reserved for demons, but they work well enough when tracking animal modified humans, too.

19th Echo: During a sting to catch the man impersonating Tony he regained his durability and some of his regeneration. Enough durability to survive taking a bullet to the head, and enough regeneration to heal that up even if it is at less than half the rate it would be at full. December tier 2.

20th Echo: Regained some of his investigative instincts during a conversation with L. The ability to spot connections where he might have missed them before.

21st Echo: Plot echo from first encounter with a wolpertinger, which Richard adopted. Base demonic strength, strong enough to toss a grown human a reasonable distance, break a thin chain, but nothing so ridiculous as say The Hulk or something. Also no knowledge on how to use it, those poor, poor door handles.

22nd Echo: Plot echo from participating in Lapland on January 20th. Base demonic speed, able to move at and react at a greater speed than that which is normal for a human. Works better in conjunction with the strength for a powerful mix. He can get out of the way of things he normally couldn't, and smash himself into walls doing so hooray!

Gotta practice these ones because no drywall is safe.

23rd Echo: Earned a vague memory about Yamato and its being important but not why while Shou showed off one of his.

24th Echo: HOLY WATER. D!Cesar called Tony out to "help" him, instead having set a trap of holy water for him. As it turns out, holy water is super effective and burns like hell.

25th Echo: Tier 2 plot echo from the pink light over London. Unleveled Trickster Style, to be leveled with proper use. Evasive style system that will eventually result in a short range teleport.

26th Echo: Plot echo for meeting a doppelganger for the first time. Enhanced sense of smell, nothing quite akin to that of a bloodhound but enough to identify if someone isn't necessarily human, or present in a room while trying to hide. Sensitive to particularly strong and overpowering smells, such as cigarette smoke or cologne.

27th Echo: Fake!Lazarus' disgusting exposition so closely parallels the mindset most often displayed by demons or those that aspire to become/work for them that the familiarity and disgust invoke a strong sense of justice. The understanding that that sort of mentality is what sets apart humans and demons, and that to succumb to it is a quick trip to the land of no return. That the temporary "power" gained from such actions is fleeting, and ultimately superficial.

Basically it is the beginning of understanding the nature of souls. Not that he'll necessarily understand that bit just yet.

Also you know, any reasonable person's reaction of "ew you're so gross".

28th Echo: Tier 2 Santarem Lights, returned Ebony and Ivory, Dante's trademark pistols. Uniquely designed twin handguns. Strong enough to withstand the punishment a half-devil can put them through, and work best as a pair. Engraved on the side with "For Tony Redgrave, By .45 Art Warks".

29th Echo: Doppel!Cesar being a threatening douchebag echoes back the memory of a certain giant smelly frog's lame threats and insults. And their complete lack of actual intimidation factor.

30th Echo: Cesar kidnapping Nathan and setting a trap for Tony triggered the unfortunate habit of waltzing knowingly and willingly into certain traps. Challenge accepted indeed.

31st Echo: Speaking of traps, once upon a time a young Dante was summoned to a spooky old cathedral by a mysterious person unknown. There he spoke with the Hatter briefly, and then the floor collapsed. The memory will fade at the floor breaking out from under him part.

32nd Echo: The sweet coat Shou gave to Tony as a gift transformed into Dante's signature look.

33rd Echo: From the light over Tokyo. Too lazy to explain this one again so here it is! Full moveset for Rebellion, and base demon magic. Exploding toasters here we come!

34th Echo: Unleveled Swordmaster Style as a tier two from the Moon Snake. Leveled pretty quickly during the invasion. Also the ability to switch between Swordmaster and Trickster styles.

35th Echo: The first time attempting to ride a motorcycle brought back a memory of his other riding up the side of a collapsing tower while apparently fighting off some translucent red bats. Tony is now fairly certain that his other was not only insane, but so crazy he was capable of warping reality around himself to fit his madness.

36th Echo: Slime echo, the memory of Dante's half of the Perfect Amulet and that it held great sentimental value. Precisely what that value was remains a mystery.

37th Echo: More blob! The amulet actually manifests into reality. On its own it's powerless, but meaningful all the same. It also has an inscription on the back that reads "for Dante and Vergil". Could this be the mysterious brother he briefly recalled over a year ago?

38th Echo: A brief memory from a conversation with Nux. Once upon a time his other said the same thing, in response to a question about who and what he is. He replied with "I don't know, man. Maybe you should ask God or something." Maybe he, too, struggled with his identity.

39th Echo: Tier two re-living plot echo: Tony got to experience this first hand. Battle and all, and with it he learned the ability to control and focus his magic through his weapons Rebellion and Ebony and Ivory.
